My Background

As a Russian-American, I've had the privilege of growing up in culturally and socioeconomically diverse neighborhoods across Russia and the United States, Los Angeles. From Boyle Heights to Northridge, Panorama City, Van Nuys, and Lake Balboa, I've been surrounded by people from a wide range of cultural, social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. Through these experiences, I've learned that diversity is a strength, as it allows us to learn from one another and gain new perspectives. I've made close friends with individuals from Hispanic, African-American, Asian, and other backgrounds, and these relationships have been incredibly enriching. ​Unfortunately, I've also witnessed firsthand the challenges that can arise from economic hardship and social inequalities. As a child myself, I've been a victim of CSA and seen how abuse can impact people of all backgrounds and their lives. This has instilled in me a deep empathy and desire to support those who are vulnerable and help those who experienced similar traumas. These experiences have shaped my worldview and sparked my passion for advocating for underserved communities. I believe that by coming together across diverse backgrounds, we can create a more just and compassionate society.
